A few things you should know about my family are that we like to: cook, eat, drink, laugh and spend time together. So when I was there we decided to have a little getting together on Sunday and one thing lead to another we ended up trowing a pizza party for almost 80 people, yes, your hear that right, 80!
Me and the closest member of my family organized a preparation team, we started the day before washing and cutting all the toppings, buying beverages and cleaning the house inside and out. The day of the party we met early in the morning, my grandma Rosa was the boss of the kitchen and we all moved around her helping and learning.
I was in charge of the photographs for the day and first assistant of grandma Rosa. The photo reportage went really well, I shoot tons of picture, but don’t worry I’ll only share a few that I particularly like in this post.
Being assistant in the kitchen was a lot of fun. My grandma is an 83 years old woman full of energy and the fact that she had to cook for 80 people didn’t scared her a bit. She is bossy and like things done her way, we followed her directions and the party was a big success. We made enough pizza for everybody plus some left over for the guests to take home.
The pizza was crispy outside and soft inside we had 8 variations, starting from the most classic one with tomatoes and ending with a bacon-onions twist. Each one of them was delicious and we spent the perfect Sunday with good food and wine and the people we most love!
We all missed Roberto and hopefully we’ll have another pizza party all together!
