Angelini Osteria is a hidden jam. The restaurant is located at 7313 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles. The place is small, with one window in the front and a few tables outside. We arrived in the early afternoon and we felt right away a European atmosphere. Most of the staff is Italian or speak the language, everybody was very nice and welcoming and they made us feel at home. We met Gino Angelini, chef and owner. He is from Emilia Romagna, an amazing culinary region located in the north of Italy. Gino cooks many dishes originally from this area and they are all authentic, like in the tradition.
Today the chef prepared for us Pasta alla Carbonara, a simple pasta dish that everybody can make at home, so be sure to download the Italy Art LA app and watch the video recipe.
The Carbonara is quick to prepare and it taste delicious, it’s literally make with only 5 ingredients, the sauce is ready by the time the pasta is “al dente”, it has a rich taste of home and I could never get enough :-). It’s also Roberto’s favorite pasta so we cook it quiet often at home but today I learned a few new tricks to reach an unbeatable taste. We’ll definitely be back here to try more specialties from chef Gino Angelini.
